Jerry Vezzuso is a photographer and multimedia artist working in New York City.
Born in Brooklyn NY studied at the School of Visual Arts is the recipient of The New York Foundation for the Arts Special Project Grant.
Jerry Vezzuso is currently working in printmaking. He is on the faculty at the School of Visual Arts and Teachers College at Columbia University. His work is in the collection of The Brooklyn Museum of Art and The Museum of the City of New York and exhibits often in N.Y. galleries..
During the 1980s he was color photographer for the La Mama ETC experimental theater in the East Village.
His book based on haircuts in the East Village 1984 was published by Ballantine Books. 'New American Haircuts' later became a zine 'Model Release'
He has been exhibited and published widely including Vanity Fair, DoubleTake, Dear Dave, Manhattan Ink and more.
He is co-founder of The Tierney Fellowship in Photography.
